Conference "Advancing Connectivity in Lithuania through Ultra-Fast Broadband Projects: Insights, Progress and Future Directions"

The Public Institution Plačiajuostis internetas is organising an online event dedicated to the development of ultra-fast broadband connectivity in Lithuania and its role in achieving national and European Union connectivity objectives.

The event will bring together representatives of the European Commission, national authorities, and key stakeholders to discuss Lithuania’s progress in deploying ultra-fast broadband infrastructure, share practical insights, and explore future directions in the connectivity sector.

The agenda will feature presentations by experts from the European Commission, the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Central Project Management Agency, the Communications Regulatory Authority, and other relevant institutions. Discussions will focus on policy developments, funding instruments, regulatory aspects, and implementation experiences related to broadband expansion.

Special attention will be given to two ongoing EU-funded projects - "Ultra-Fast Communication Infrastructure (ISRI)" and "Development of Ultra-Fast Communication Infrastructure (ISRI-2)". The event will also explore the role of state intervention, regulation, and the societal impact of ultra-fast broadband in supporting digital inclusion, regional development, and sustainable growth.

The event will serve as a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and fostering dialogue on how ultra-fast broadband contributes to the long-term connectivity goals of Lithuania and the European Union.
