Public consultation on laying additional fibre optic cable lines (Phase II)

Consultation takes place from 09-11-2021 to 08-12-2021

Plačiajuostis Internetas, the public body implementing the project "Development of Next Generation Internet Access Infrastructure", has received requests from operators to connect additional facilities to the existing fibre optic infrastructure. We are submitting for public consultation a list of the facilities to be connected via fibre optic cable lines (Annex 1).

In order to make sure that all the planned fibre optic installations are located in 'white spots', i.e. areas where residents do not have and will not have access to internet speeds of 30 Mbps and above in the next 3 years, we kindly ask you to review the list provided and to provide information by 8 December 2021 to [email protected] on the fibre optic infrastructure that is in place or is planned to be built in the next 3 years in these 'white spots' areas.
