A financing agreement for the project "Development of high-speed communication infrastructure" was signed
In order to improve digital connectivity, the public institution "Broadband Internet" prepared the project "Development of ultra-fast communication infrastructure".
On May 7, 2024, a financing agreement was signed, which will allow the "Development of ultra-fast communication infrastructure" project to begin.
The goal of the "Ultra-fast communication infrastructure development" project is to create and ensure the access of ultra-high-speed communication infrastructure in the residential area. This will allow you to develop your activities even more efficiently in the territory of the activity, reach remote users and create an opportunity to use a high-speed connection. During the ISRI 2 project, access to high-speed communication infrastructure will be created for almost 15 thousand people. households and slightly more than 1.3 thousand. companies.
During the "Ultra-high-speed communication infrastructure development" project, the equipment necessary for the functionality of the communication infrastructure will be installed and 63 communication towers will be built, which will solve various problems of the availability of ultra-high-speed communication: the lack of electronic communication infrastructure in the "white spots", the country's strategic goals in the electronic communication infrastructure sector and service providers and connection speed that does not meet the needs of users, low attractiveness of "white spots" for private infrastructure managers.
The completion of the activities of the "Ultra-high-speed communication infrastructure development" project is planned for 2027.
