Approved tariffs and introduction of a new service
The strategic objective of the public institution Plačiajuostis internetas is to create opportunities for all users across the territory of Lithuania to access high-quality broadband connectivity services. To achieve this goal, the institution provides more than ten different types of wholesale connectivity services, which can be explored in more detail here.
As of 1 January 2026, following the approval of the new tariffs of the public institution Plačiajuostis internetas, service prices will remain unchanged. However, a new service is being added to the list of provided services – data traffic transmission at speeds of up to 1 Gb/s within municipal boundaries.
“By consistently investing in the development of our services, we aim to respond to today’s needs. The introduction of the 1 Gb/s service is an important step in increasing the availability of connectivity services throughout Lithuania. This new speed will enable telecommunications service providers to expand their offerings more efficiently and to provide users with competitive, modern solutions,” comments Donatas Bernatonis, Head of the Network and Technology Development Department.
The implementation of the up to 1 Gb/s service within municipal boundaries will provide telecommunications operators with broader development opportunities and will enable the delivery of high-quality services to residents, communities, businesses, and institutions. This new service becomes an important tool in reducing the digital divide and in creating conditions for modern technologies to be accessible in all regions of Lithuania.
