Employees of the public institution “Plačiajuostis internetas” are enhancing their competencies in the prevention of psychological violence
On April 25, 2025, employees of the public institution “Plačiajuostis internetas” participated in a training session on the prevention of psychological violence in the workplace.
The session was led by legal expert Rūta Globytė, who shared not only important theoretical knowledge but also practical advice on how to recognize and address complex situations in the work environment.
During the training, participants explored the causes of workplace stress, the forms of psychological and emotional violence, ways to identify them, and effective prevention strategies. The lecturer presented relevant provisions of the Labour Code related to the protection of employees from inappropriate behavior and emphasized the employer’s responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
Special attention was given to real-life examples, helping participants better understand how mobbing, bullying, or other forms of psychological violence can manifest in daily work life and how to respond appropriately.
These training sessions not only strengthen employees’ legal and psychological literacy but also contribute to building a conscious and respectful organizational culture. Knowledge about the forms of violence, prevention, and appropriate response methods increases employees’ self-confidence, encourages openness about difficulties they may be facing, and fosters a collaborative workplace environment.
