At the end of November 2024, as part of the “Ultra-Fast Connectivity Infrastructure” project, the first fiber-optic cable line construction works were officially handed over to the public institution "Plačiajuostis internetas".
The first lines were installed in the municipalities of Kėdainiai, Pakruojis, Radviliškis, Kaunas, and Prienai. The total length of the completed lines amounts to nearly 18 kilometers, with 39 access points delivered.

In addition, the project currently includes successful implementation of work related to the expansion of routing equipment and network densification systems, as well as the installation of passive network densification switches.

“We are pleased that the ongoing work allows us to expand network infrastructure and reach even more remote areas,” said Donatas Bernatonis, Head of the Network and Technology Development Department.

The project is funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility under the “Next Generation Lithuania” plan.
